The apartment we rent is 120 sq meters and includes a marble floor entrance , two bedrooms with their en-suite bathroom, a large reception lounge and an equipped kitchen, all decorated with original paintings and furniture from the 17th and 18th century.
It has just been completely renovated to accommodate air con, and large isolating windows. Ceilings have renaissance paintings.
Our private terrace of 33 sq meters overlooking the cupola of Santa Agnese of Piazza Navona is open to our guests.
Heading west from Piazza Pasquino, Via del Governo Vecchio is an atmospheric cobbled lane full of boutiques, lively restaurants and vintage clothes shops. The street, once part of the papal processional route between the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano and St Peter's, acquired its name (Old Government St) in 1755 when the pontifical government relocated from Palazzo Nardini at No 39 to Palazzo Madama.
